Outline 2009 ! [09-10-07] lsl

A little bit late, but here we are with a little Outline 2009 update ! We, that are NO from Escape, 505 and lsl aka defjam drove to the party place by train, we had a good ride and everything went fine.
At the partyplace we met Exocet who just made a compopic right at the party ! He won the first place in the pixelart competition.

On the musical side 505 made the 5th place in the Streaming Music compo with the tune "zamba" and in the Oldskool/Executable Music he made the 2nd place with the tune "EGZACUTABLE"

But we had more stuff in our pockets...
We finally managed to release a new demo for Atari ST at the party: Suretrip2-Dopecode, a demo coming on 2 disks.Unfortunately there were only 3 demos in total for the Atari ST demo competition - and one was by aheemmm.. The Bits Club.
We finally ranked 1st in the competiton.

Intro for Alive Mag finally out [06-10-26] fiveofive

Issue 13 of the lovely Alive Magazine features an intro, which was actually supposed to be within issue 8 - some years ago. Defjam lost sources, but was able to fix an executable preview version, so finally this piece of rotozooming is out.

Back in the lands of activity [06-07-01] fiveofive

['Battersea' - exocet/checkpoint 2006'] In times, when I thought of changing the colors of the website to have another news-entry for this year, something unexpected happened. Checkpoint released some small things at Outline 2006 party in the Netherlands. Exocet won the 16-color graphics compo with the (unfinished) picture you can see beside. Apart from that Defjam released a little conversion of a more or less classic Atari ST demo screen by An Cool/TCB for the Gameboy Advanced. Atariwise, a little 4K-intro named "4kker" was coded and released at the same party.

Furthermore, a little cooperation intro between MJJ Prod. and Checkpoint was released at the party ("lavalamp" for Atari STE only). Now, if all that ain't a good reason to take a longer rest now..

Pouets of Decay [05-03-13] fiveofive

In order to keep the impression of the vitality of Checkpoint, I considered it a good idea, to enforce the yearly homepage update by putting the missing Checkpoint productions to the Pouet.net database and writting a news article about it on our homepage. ;)

Litte site update [04-10-27] fiveofive

The releases section is now complete (files and screenshots). So now you can also find the MSAReader for PC-computers to download. Furthermore the links have been tidied up a bit.

Most Checkpoint releases avaiable [03-12-23] fiveofive

Now most of our releases can be downloaded from the releases section. The latest demo Posh and several intros have been added.

Checkpoint joins DHS-Xmascompo [03-12-22] fiveofive

Checkpoint took part in the Christmas competition organized by Dead Hackers Society and ranked first place. The screen had to be a music demo in 15 kilobytes. Download it in the releases section.

NEW MEMBER - Hello Exocet! [03-10-01] defjam

Welcome to the first foreign Checkpoint member - Exocet !
He's from France and a very skilled graphician, some of his graphics were used f.e. in the demo "Posh".
A lot of brilliant artwork by him is f.e. also in various ATARI-diskmags (UCM, Alive).

Maybe the version shown in the competiton at the EIL 2003 will be released soon, too.

Now go, download, watch and comment the demo.

Checkpoint comeback [03-04-23] fiveofive

After quite some time of silence Checkpoint has released new stuff for the Atari ST. All four members appeared on the Error In Line #3 party so this was a complete meeting since a long time. Defjam has managed to finish POSH - a new demo, which ranked first in the competition. Furthermore he released a 4k-intro called 4ster for the Atari ST, that also ranked first and a wildcompoentry on Palm. ['fleisch' - modmate/checkpoint 2003']modmate surprisingly released a new 16 color picture in the competition and 505 entered to songs in the musics compo. Unfortunatly JoeCool didn't finish his song in time. The new productions should be avaiable from here soon (we have two weeks time to fix some stuff until it has to be released by the EIL-team).

4Palmz - Palm-OS5 version [03-03-07] defjam
A fixed version of the 4k-tro for Palm-OS5 devices.
320x320 fixed. A bit more movement, sampled sound added. Size growed.
Sampled sound sequence from AN COOL, ripped from the 'WOW-Scroller' screen by The Carebares from the famous UNION-Demo. Sorry!
The sound may be a bit bugged. Who cares.

checkpoint.atari.org
checkpoint.planet-d.net.

Experiencing a new system [02-07-08] defjam

GBADEV democompo is over [02-02-09] defjam

Checkpoint at STNICCC [00-12-18] defjam
mOdmate and Defjam attended to the STNICCC held in Holland by Richard Karsmakers. A really really cool party with a very well organization, I never thought it being such a great event. Unfortunately we failed in releasing our ST(f)-demo for the ST/Falcon competition, because of a never ending series of bugs. :( :( :( ;(
Nevertheless, the ST/Falcon-compo was won by Oxygene with an ATARI ST demo coded by Leonard! Congratulations !!! Till then you should also check http://www.dhs.nu for available downloads.

Many many thanks have to be sent to Mc Laser/tSCc for driving us to Leiden Central Station on Sunday, because I (Defjam) tried till the last minute to put the demo together. Stefan, we love you!! :)

Party greetings from Defjam are flying over to:

  • the whole tSCc team present at STNICCC (Mc Laser, Ray, Llama and Dynacore) - I just hope you finally succeeded in finishing your 38K-tro!!
  • Richard Karsmakers and the whole organization team there at Sassenheim, many thanks for this awesome event.
  • Thanks to your sponsors (LAN-analyst, Electronic Arts ... ) who also helped to make this happen.
  • Havoc of FUN (what a nice person! :)
  • Mr. NI! - yourīre back. Great!! :)
  • Mad Butcher of Foundation 2
  • Rapido of Synergy
  • Mr Coke (Absence/Smash Designs) and The Innovator (Newline(?) / Absence)
  • The people from the Maggie Team (CiH, Felice ...)

  • The whole Sector One team, I hope you managed to finish your demo
  • And of course all the other people there at STNICCC.

Strangeness ... This page got hacked! [00-11-21] defjam
Was it because of the millions of daily hits?? :) Those people even donīt know how to use html properly, this site isnīt displayed fully using Netscape (at least Netscape Communicator 4.6 ) ... lamers. Talking about world domination and then the site only seems to work with MSIE ... Anyway, thanks for the attention dudes !! Many thanks to http://www.8ung.at who just donīt care about this fact. Does a free provider mean no service and security ??
